Diane8005 pushed out Josh all by herself
So Robert brought my bag up and we got all set for baby to arrive. I was checked over at 11am wednesday and they said I was dilated enough to have my waters broken so off we went to delivery and have the deed done, which I must admit was very uncomfortable .

It all started the day I was due. I was out shopping with my husband Robert and thought I was leaking as everytime I went to the toilet I was wet. So we went home and I called the midwife and she sugested we go into hosp to be check over so off we trotted.

Arrived at the hospital and was put on a monitor. He was misbehaving though, one minute he was all calm then he was a wriggler and the monitor off the scales. So we had to wait for the specialist to come in and check me out and find out if my waters were in fact leaking. They decided Joshua was fine where he was just very active and that my waters were intact. But my blood pressure was racing so I was chained to the bed. I harldy slept a wink that night never been away from Bob for a night so it was emotional and I had severe headaches. They decided to induce me the following night.

After that it was all go contractions came mega style and midwife offered gas and air which was wonderful. I really recommend it but it had a side effect and gave me a major pannick attack. I wasnt feeling panniky but my hands curled up and cramped so my poor hubby had to give me the gas and air all the way. I was getting really stressed and I decided I needed more help so I took diamorphene which I seriously dont recommend it made me forget too much. and every time I fell asleep Bob woke me up thinking I had stopped breathing lol.

I got to 9 cm dialated and had uncontrolable pushing I just couldnt stop I think it was my body telling me to get this baby out it has had enough. So I went from 9 to 7 cm and had to have the epidural to calm me down which worked, I was totally relaxed. It didnt help the pain though still felt everything. 30 mins after the epidural it was time to push and I did it all myself.

He was born at 6. 59 pm on the 10th april 2002 and peed all over us as soon as he appeared lol.
