I went into hosp on monday night with more bleeding (kinda expected as seen mw earlier and she said my urine had a large blood in it) so I trotted back to hosp and had a scan on tuesday morn. As usual nothing showed up but I was convinced I saw testicles lol. Anyhoo doc came that afternoon and I asked to be induced that night and he examined me and said I was 3cm dialated and he would give me 1 lot of gel instead of 2 as I could go into labour anytime.
At 6am wednesday they gave me gel and was meant to be getting waters broken at 10am but they didnt do it till 1:50pm. After that they let me walk about the labour ward and started getting contractions after about 10mins these persisted very close together until I could not stand any longer.
I basically crawled back to the bed about 3:10 I think and at 3.45pm they were very bad and I couldnt stop pushing so the doctor examined and said that I was only 5 to 6 cm dilated and my contractions were moderate (I could have hit her.)
The doctor left the room and the head suddenly popped out the midwifes were shouting for help as they had nothing ready for delivery, I was about to get an epidural and that was cancelled for obvious reasons and little Rachel was born at 3:46pm about 1 minute after the doctor had just said that she was 5 to 6 cm dilated even more shocking lol I didnt need stitches !!!!!
Rachel was born everything was good she was 6lb 12 1/2 oz . But then they told us she had breathing difficulties. It was hard though cause I had to go for a bath and poor bob got marched along to the neonatel suite and had to watch my wee baby struggling. Later when I got to go to scbu I saw them being horrid to her , horrid experience later and both of us were quite upset. I was intending on bf and tried hard but the wee soul just couldnt handle it and they were threatening to put her drip up due to loss of fluid so I decided enough was enough and gave her formula which she enjoyed soo much. I am not feeling guilty about it as I think its best for her. My boobs ache though lol.
She is soo beautiful its such a shock joshy isnt too keen on her yet though. He did try and grab her a few times and got annoyed when we said no. But when bob was feeding her he just watched curiously and she yawned at him and he smiled hehe.
